A year prior leaving the police force, David got involved with the trucking industry. He acquired his ABZ Driver’s License and has driven for Muskoka Transport, Wayne Smith Transport and Gibson Transport of Alliston, Ontario. His responsibilities include recruiting and retaining drivers and warehouse associates in all eleven terminals throughout Canada and the United States.

His second greatest interest in the trucking industry is teaching how to do the job safely and legally. He is also writing “The Eye of the Recruiter” column for the Rear View Mirror Newspaper of K.R.T.S. Also writing for Women In Trucking providing tips and strategies in protecting themselves while on the road. David has recently started Carriers Coach Solutions, which helps new drivers and second career drivers in how to use their time effectively while pursuing their chosen Carrier and uses his techniques to approach the Carriers interview and road test.

He is a husband and father of four and a proud grandfather of three (number 4 is expected in April 2008).
